Steve Schneider - Founder
Blonde Ambition Guiding is owned and operated by chief guide Steve Schneider. Steve began his guiding career over thirty years ago as he taught younger kids how to rock climb in the Boy Scouts. Now Steve is one of the world's most sought after guides for anything from family trekking trips, to guided big walls and High Sierra peak bagging. Besides being an awesome guide, Steve is a world class climber. He has climbed up to 5.14 in difficulty, ascended El Capitan over 80 times, climbed to the summit of Denali, and led successful expeditions to Mongolia, Pakistan, Alaska, and Peru. Steve has a special love for Patagonia, the range of granite spires in Chile and Argentina. He has made 7 expeditions to the range, and has more ascents of the Towers of Paine in Chile than any other human. His guided ascents of the Towers of Paine can be the most ultimate adventure of a lifetime. Steve has the ability to relax a client with his humor, while always maintaining the highest degree of safety.

Heather Baer - Trekking Manager
Wife of Steve Schneider, Heather is world famous as a vertical dancer. Check out her dance troupe on Project Bandaloop.org. As a climber, she has ascended El Capitan 16 times, led up to 5.12c if difficulty, and made first ascents of peaks in Mongolia and Pakistan. As a trekking guide, she has worked in Patagonia for GAP(Great Adventure People), and also for Mountain Travel Sobek. She feels these guided groups were too big to allow much one on one contact with the guides, so Blonde Ambition Guiding runs their trips with a maximum four-to-one client-to-guide ratio. Heather's trekking trips offer more flexibility in that we have scheduled multi-recreational days every third day or so, so clients can day hike, take pictures, discover wildlife, or just plan relax around camp if they so desire. This schedule also means we camp more than one night in one spot, so we can become more intimate with our surroundings, and not have the hassle of breaking down and setting up camp every single night. Heather speaks conversational Spanish, and has a special love for children of all ages the world over. Heather runs Fitness in Transit, a mobile fitness company in the San Franciso Bay Area. Literally thousands of children have benefitted from her movement programs. Heather is a certified trainer in Pilates, Yamuna Ball Rolling, and Gyrotonic

Andres Zegers
Andres hails from Santiago, Chile, and is the best big wall climber in his country. He has made almost 30 ascents of El Capitan, and has many hard alpine ascents in Patagonia to his credit. He has guided Aconcagua over 20 times, and is well known as a great climber in his country. He speaks fluent English and often has his clients doubling over with his surprising wit.

Sean Leary
Sean grew up in El Portal, just outside Yosemite Valley, and fed his climbing appetite with a mouthful of granite. His local near Yosemite led him to be a guide with the Yosemite Mountaineering School, where he was employed from 1999 to 2003. He is equally adept at teaching a class of beginner's or guiding a big wall. Sean is an full optimist, and his infectious laugh characterizes his easy going nature.
