WHY GUIDED CLIMBING?
Climbing with a guide helps insure a safe and enjoyable experience. A guide's knowledge of the climbing route, descent, and weather patterns help save time and add an extra degree of safety. With the major decisions left to a qualified guide, clients can relax in their environment and enjoy their surroundings better, knowing that in case of an emergency, a guide's skill and training can help facilitate a safe and timely self rescue.
Blonde Ambition Guiding places a priority on safety. We are a small company of just a few select guides. All of our guides are certified wilderness first responders, with hundreds of hours of training in guiding and rescue techniques. Our low client to guide ratio(never exceeds 3 to 1 on rock climbs) helps give individual attention and overall trip safety.
For those of you interested in our climbing trips, we offer a variety of both rock and mountaineering objectives. Based in Oakland, most of our domestics trips take place in the Sierra Nevada mountain range of California. This range contains an amazing array of climbs, from easy walk up summits, to huge granite walls. Indeed, there is something for everybody to have the perfect adventure. In winter, we switch our operations to South America, enjoying an endless summer. Our Patagonia Expeditions to the Towers of Paine offer a chance to visit these breathtaking summits under the security of an expert guide. Come with us for the ultimate adventure of a lifetime.
